Now in its 12th year, PEEPshow is an Easter tradition in Maryland. “A Display of Marshmallow Masterpieces” with more than 150 sculptures, dioramas, graphic arts, oversized characters and mosaics created and inspired by PEEPS®. The sweet Maryland event attracts thousands.

Easter Egg Hunts at Green Meadows Farm, Ijamsville | April 13-24,18-21, 2019

Enjoy egg hunts at the farm; there will be three hunts daily. Please sign up 30 minutes before hunts; note – the last admission is at 4pm. Admission includes free Easter egg hunt and petting farm.

Preakness Stakes | May 18, 2019

Join the roar of the crowd and witness the Middle Jewel of Thoroughbred Racing. Old Hilltop comes alive with the running of the Preakness Stakes, where the finest three-year old thoroughbreds compete; truly test a of a horse’s raw ability and composure. All eyes will be on the Preakness Stakes as we discover if Triple Crown potential lives on– because if it doesn’t happen here, it doesn’t happen at all.

National Cherry Blossom Festival, Sakura Sunday, National Harbor | April 14, 2019 11AM -8PM

This year, National Harbor will be joining the Washington, D.C. region in the annual National Cherry Blossom Festival which celebrates spring, the gift of the cherry blossom trees, and the enduring friendship between the people of the United States and Japan. On Sunday, April 14, National Harbor will share authentic Japanese Cherry Blossom bloom traditions at the annual Sakura Sunday event, an official participating event of the 2019 National Cherry Blossom Festival, in the Waterfront District.

With the Catoctin Mountain as a backdrop, the lavender field at Springfield Manor Winery & Distillery is spectacular featuring more than 2,500 lavender plants of numerous varieties. Cut your own fresh flowers, pick up potted plants for your home and garden or enjoy the lavender products from the market stand. English lavender has it’s peak first bloom in early June. French lavender generally peaks in August. Both varieties bloom a second time in September.

May Day in Annapolis | May 1, 2019

This now-iconic event began in 1956 as a Garden Club of Old Annapolis Towne beautification project. Starting on May 1, stroll past dwellings and businesses in the Historic District of Maryland’s capital to see doors adorned with baskets brimming with fresh flowers and colorful ribbons.
